Take a chill pill people, it's McDonalds not a 5 star restaurant Food is hot, order is always right, everyone speaks Spanish and English, they have AC and WiFi so as far as I am concerned it is the best you can expect at a place like this. Reviewing specifically because the majority of the reviews are a bunch of whine bags.

I understand it's fast food but what I don't understand is why ALL the managers are rude and I don't understand how they became managers at all.. The East Boston location is one of the worst my family and I have been to. The customer service is TERRIBLE. I would rather starve instead of eat at this location and I wouldn't recommend this location to my worst enemy. . The managers there need a course in customer serve and then maybe just maybe I would go there again. And they also like to make up prices, if u didn't get chicken nuggets expect to pay 27 cents for ur dunking sauce for fries or burger.. They make their own rules there

McDonald's Maverick Square: You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. This McDonald's takes everything that I hate about my neighborhood and gives it a place to sit and eat disgusting food. If you ever make the mistake of walking into this place, you will finally know where everyone goes when the dive bars close. Toothless drunks and senile old people come in here and sit all morning because the Dunkin Donuts around the corner is too classy. I just sat in and ate for only the second time since I moved here 5 years ago, and I saw an argument about the bathroom key, and someone with a bloody wound on his arm. It feels like every interaction I've ever had at this Mcdonald's can be incapsulated by those two facts. In addition to the terrible patrons, even though it looks like every other Mcdonald's and has the same equipment, somehow everything in here is just louder and broken more often, and nothing is ever even made it to Mcdonald's standards. Sure, most Mcdonald's don't deserve more than a 2-star rating, but this is the only one I've been to where I think I'm more likely to catch something from the patrons than the food. Like maybe a knife wound.

This isn't a FAST food restaurant. Service is always sooooo slow. I waited at the drive thru late one night recently over 5 minutes for someone to take my order. I had cars beeping behind me and only 1 car in front of me so I couldn't leave if I wanted to cuz once you're in the drive thru line you're stuck.

Come on, seriously, what is there to really write about a McDonald's that's so fascinating and informative? Nothing. In my experience, all McDonald's are just buildings full of accidents, and disappointments, waiting to happen and I can't say I was terribly disappointed with this McDonald's in that regard. I only went through the drive-thru so keep that in mind: 1. The place looks grungy. It strikes me as being one step shy of a crack house but maybe that's because I'm from the burbs. For all I know, the locals look at it like its "The Four Seasons." 2. The drive-thru is a squeeze. It strikes me as very unsafe. In an area where someone is LIKELY to mug you, the last thing you want is to be jammed in a drive-thru unable to get out if there's a car in front of you or behind you. Many are double-wide and allow you to get out but this is 1-lane and cramped. 3. I know, I know... every time you pull up to a McD's, your mind really has no way of ascertaining what the particular malfunction of that McDonald's layout might be. In this one, the area where they hand your food looks like it's a couple of drink machines jammed into a coat room at the back of the building. I kept things simple and ordered a chocolate shake. I pulled up and waited like 5 minutes. When the guy returned, I asked, "Should I be scared?" He asked, "Why?" i replied, "Well, how long does it take to make a small chocolate shake?" "Oh," he answered, "I had to go up front and wait for the coffee of the guy behind you." THERE'S YOUR ANSWER... just another of a million and one disconnects going on at fast food restaurants throughout the world. Order something simple like a chocolate shake and you have to wait as long as if you ordered 15 double cheeseburgers and 32 small fries because the drive-thru window is in a room that is like the APPENDIX of the building.

This review really applies to all McDonald's in Boston, but since this is my local one and where the experience I am about to describe originated, I will place my thoughts here. I know some people are going to shame me for saying what I am about to say but I am going to say it anyway. I'm giving McDonald's three stars for surprisingly good iced coffee. They use Newman's Own which I'm sure is nothing new to most people living here. BUT, coming from the south I found this to be a pleasant upgrade. They do not use this coffee there. So, while I generally stay clear of the golden arches, we should all feel lucky that the McDonald's experience is a cut above that which most people in the country are accustomed to. I can't believe I just pitched McDonald's. This is a new all-time low.
